Bachelor of occupational safety and health (Honours)

This programme provides deeper knowledge on occupational safety and health in an effort to protect workers from hazards at the workplace. you will explore a variety of subjects related to this field such as safety & health regulations, construction safety, industrial hygiene, osh risk management, emergency response plan and accident investigation among others.
the programme will provide you with a range of theoretical and practical skills to enable you to practice across a range of industries and environments.
as an osh expert you will be responsible for outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards, carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislations.
in certain organizatiosn you will also be tasked with preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policies as well as leading in-house training on safety and health issues and risks.
